I chose this strength because it represents an important part of who I am. I believe everyone is searching for a purpose and I find mine in Jesus. The Bible gives us a framework in how we should live and even if you don't believe in it, it still has really good things to learn and grow from.
This strength describes the emotion I like to have in my life. While emotions don't control everything, I believe they play a big part in life in showing what we are feeling deep down. We often try to block out feelings but they give us insight and one of the greatest choices we have is choosing how we respond to such emotions.
I believe this strength shows up in the way I interact with other people. I believe no matter the situation we should always respond in love and try to understand other people rather than seeking to win an argument or prove why my way is better. Everyone should work together and realize that our differences are what should bring us together.
One of the greatest joys is helping others rather than ourselves. When we invest in others, we are investing in something that can have a lasting impact. Everyone has the same or similar struggles and rather than feeling isolated, it's nice to help others know they are not alone in their struggles.
I love competing. I played at a high level in tennis and always enjoyed the oppurtunity to compete against others or learn how to overcome adversity in sports. I like to set a goal and see it through to completion.
Of these five strengths, the one I most want to develop further is Developer. I want to continue improving it by building up others and realizing there is more to life than just myself. It is much more fulfilling to give and help others than it is to gain things for myself.
